"Jyotirgamay" -Towardslight was Inaugurated by H.E. Dr Waheed (Vice President of Maldives) at the National Art Gallery of Maldives.1st July 2010.
Living in Maldives for the past two years and observing nature amidst it's tranquil sea has led to new creations. Now, on July 1st, 2010, i will be holding a solo exhibition in the National Art Gallery of Maldives. This event is the curtain raiser of the upcoming, India-Maldives Friendship Festival. I have received many comments on these paintings. Mr. Mulay, High Commissioner of India in the Maldives, also an eminent writer and poet provided the titles to the paintings that impart an additional dimension to the works and urge the viewer to raise his thinking to a higher level.
He has commented "Her current exhibition 'Towards Light' in its brilliant colors of the sea and the sky, corals and fish illustrates her approach to the Maldives. Her handling of the Sea and the Sun is particularly enchanting. She has been successful in creating a new legend of love between the two primal forces that engulf life- water and energy. Each painting is full of vibrancy on longing, surging, churning and conversions that enrich life and its process. "
