International Artists camp, Addu Atoll, Maldives - 9th March 2011

The camp was declared open by Indian High Commissioner Mr Dnyaneshwar Mulay.


The 1st International Artist Camp in Maldives 2011 was a big achievement for my artistic career. It was just like a dream come true to organize this camp with the help of United Artists of Maldives (UAM) and ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations).And Thanks to High Commission of India for all there support.

Five senior Indian Artists from Delhi, Bombay, Chandigarh and Shimla with ten artist from Maldives attended the ten days camp at the southern most atoll Addu in the island of Gan.

Hay Festival is an international festival to promote traditional art and culture across the world. This is a picture of the art village. I was the only Indian artist along with 10 other local artist in the Festival.

Salman Khan in my Painting exhibition

I was surprised to see the hidden talent of Salman Khan.
He spent at lest 45mnts in my exhibition with me and discussed so many things related to the style of the painting.

I spent an hour with salman khan we took a round of the whole hall he spoke to all the 103 children and saw their work and selected the prize winning paintings with me and gave away the prizes.

The auction was conducted by The High Commissioner of India, Maldives. There were several Indian business men and art lovers. 7 paintings were sold, it was a great success

Nari Saundarya- November 1987






My first solo show "Nari Saundarya", inaugurated on the 14th of November, 1987 in Rani Durgawati Museum. It was on various aspects of womanhood, this exhibition reflected my feelings and emotions as a young girl stepping out of college.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, the Education Minister at the time Shri Banshilal Dhritlahare in the presence of the Vice Chancellor of Rani Durgawati Vishwa Vidyalaya Dr.
Hanuman Prasad Dixit.

The inaugural speeches were given by Dr.Beohar Ram Manohar Sinha, the Principal of the Lalit Kala Academy Jabalpur at the time and Dr. Kailash Naarad, a prominent scribe and art critic of Madhya Pradesh. The exhibition was organised by the Madhya Pradesh Artists' Forum in Rani Durgawati Museum.Distinguished guests were welcomed by Mr. Kamata Sagar, President of the Artists Forum.Mr Chaoghale,incharge of the exhibition and Miss Shashi Gautam.
